  Inter officials met the player's agent Alejandro Camano on Friday night where the parties discussed the terms of the new contract after which the Argentina star agreed to put pen to paper, according to . Martinez, whose existing contract expires in June 2026, has decided to extend his stay until 2029.

  As per the terms of the new deal, the striker is expected to pocket a salary in the region of €9m (£7m/$9m) along with bonuses. A final decision is expected to be taken in the next few days after which Martinez will officially sign the contract extension, barring a late twist.
